Join our team: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Somerset County, Maine. The job is at a power plant. On a typical shift you will rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; read lift plans and method statements before starting; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
