The role involves: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Rotating shifts.
