Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Your main tasks: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
