Brickwork mason • Somerset County, Maryland

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Somerset County, Maryland. You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) The role involves: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Performance bonus on top of base pay.
