Canteen cook — Yakutat City and Borough

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a canteen cook in Yakutat City and Borough, Alaska. You will work at a busy restaurant kitchen. On a typical shift you will plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service; prepare the mise en place before each service; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in; manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs. Requirements: • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $4,800 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
