Now hiring: fabricator-welder (Indiana)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Martin County, Indiana. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day-to-day duties: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 4+ years on the tools preferred.
