Rigging foreman — Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region

We are recruiting: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will work at a shipyard. You will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness We offer $4,400 per month plus benefits.
