Immediate opening: we are hiring a mason's helper in Hayes County, Nebraska. You will be based on a building construction site. Day to day you will fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker. You should have: • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
