Gas metal arc welder — Mobile County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Mobile County, Alabama. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Your main tasks: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
