Acoustic insulation fitter — City of Galax

Vacancy available: we are hiring an acoustic insulation fitter in City of Galax, Virginia. You will work at an industrial plant. Day-to-day duties: • Work to drawings, hitting the specified U-values and insulation thickness • Fit mineral wool and glass wool batts between studs, joists and rafters • Install vapour barriers and seal all joints and overlaps with tape • Torch-on bituminous waterproofing membrane to flat roofs, basements and foundations • Apply liquid waterproofing to bathrooms and terraces before tiling • Install fire-stopping and fire-rated insulation around penetrations You should have: • Willing to travel between sites • Able to read construction drawings and specifications • Proven experience in thermal insulation and waterproofing Six days a week, one day off.
