Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment machinist in Benson County, North Dakota. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. What we are looking for: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently On the job you will handle: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $220 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
