Finishing presser wanted in Fayette County

Join our team: we are hiring a finishing presser in Fayette County, Illinois. The job is in a tailoring workshop. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Your main tasks: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
