Vacancy available: stainless steel welder (North Carolina)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Union County, North Carolina. Day to day you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Pay around $9,500 per project, based on your experience.
