Now hiring: we are hiring a safety officer in Blanco County, Texas. You will ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors. You should have: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills 3+ years on the tools preferred.
