CO2 welder wanted in Thomas County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Thomas County, Georgia. You will work at a steel fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints Requirements: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test 3+ years on the tools preferred.
