Plant operator • Alleghany County, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a plant operator in Alleghany County, Virginia. On a typical shift you will keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects. Requirements: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery Full-time, day shift.
