Now hiring: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in O'Brien County, Iowa. The job is on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium On a typical shift you will set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc.
