Immediate opening: stainless steel welder (Scotland)

Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Shetland Islands, Scotland. Ideal candidate: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium On the job you will handle: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
