Sheet metal welder wanted in Brantley County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Brantley County, Georgia. You will be based on a structural steel site. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection On the job you will handle: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
