Now hiring: we are hiring a landscape gardener in Shelby County, Illinois. On the job you will handle: • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed You should have: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish 2+ years on the tools preferred.
