Immediate opening: we are hiring a trailer driver in Gaston County, North Carolina. On a typical shift you will present documents at weighbridges and check posts; keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels; report defects and book the unit in for servicing; operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits. Ideal candidate: • Current Driver CPC qualification card • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
