Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Defiance County, Ohio. Your main tasks: • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) You should have: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot 6+ years on the tools preferred.
