Fire and safety officer — Strafford County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Strafford County, New Hampshire. You will be based on a road and infrastructure project. You will verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends.
