Metal caster wanted in Amite County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a metal caster in Amite County, Mississippi. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Your main tasks: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
