Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment machinist in Marion County, Arkansas. The job is at a busy garment factory. Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Your main tasks: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift Rotating shifts.
