Occupational health and safety officer — Tureta

Now hiring: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Tureta, Sokoto State. On the job you will handle: • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges What we are looking for: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces 2+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
