Immediate opening: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Queen Anne's County, Maryland. You will be based in a chemical processing unit. Ideal candidate: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills You will stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
