Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Vernon County, Wisconsin. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. The role involves back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
