Now hiring: we are hiring a roofing technician in Juneau City and Borough, Alaska. You will work at a roofing and cladding contractor. Day to day you will seal joints and penetrations with mastic and lead flashing; replace cracked or slipped tiles and slates; strip old shingles and felt back down to the deck; hang box gutters and downpipes for rainwater; solder and seam standing-seam metal roof sheets. Ideal candidate: • Own hand tools (hammer, nail gun, slate ripper) • Able to read roof pitch and set the falls Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts.
