Argon welder • South Ayrshire, Scotland

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in South Ayrshire, Scotland. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You will set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
