Vacancy available: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Schenectady County, New York. You will work at a busy garment factory. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching On a typical shift you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching.
