Sausage maker wanted in East Carroll Parish

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sausage maker in East Carroll Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Requirements: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Your main tasks: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder Rotating shifts.
