Aluminium TIG welder • McPherson County, South Dakota

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in McPherson County, South Dakota. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces We offer $22 per hour plus benefits.
