Argon welder — Lauderdale County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Lauderdale County, Alabama. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day-to-day duties: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding We offer $220 per day plus benefits.
