UPVC window fabricator — City of Bristol

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an uPVC window fabricator in City of Bristol, England. The job is at a uPVC door and window showroom-cum-workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it • Cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash • Wrap, label and load finished units for delivery without scratching the profile Requirements: • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. £135 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
