Great opportunity: butcher (Iowa)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a butcher in Wapello County, Iowa. The role involves: • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
