Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machinist in Cass County, Iowa. On the job you will handle: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance Ideal candidate: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
