Garment machinist wanted in Martin County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment machinist in Martin County, Kentucky. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. What we are looking for: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus The role involves attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. We offer $23 per hour plus benefits. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
