Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Bastrop County, Texas. You will work in a heavy engineering unit. Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes The role involves lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; grind back and re-weld any defective runs.
