Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Stanislaus County, California. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You will read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence. Ideal candidate: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
