Gtaw welder — Aberdeenshire

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. You will work in a food and dairy equipment factory. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Day-to-day duties: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. £12 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
