Steel erection rigger wanted in Morgan County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Morgan County, Kentucky. You will work at a power plant. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket On a typical shift you will coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
