Single needle operator wanted in Newport County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a single needle operator in Newport County, Rhode Island. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. You will thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers. You should have: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Part-time with flexible hours.
