Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Los Alamos County, New Mexico. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. The role involves carry out 6G pipe welds where required; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
