Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar installer in Richmond County, New York. The job is on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Day to day you will form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
