Ironing operator — Umatilla County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an ironing operator in Umatilla County, Oregon. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases You will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
