Urgent requirement: offshore rigger (Texas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Navarro County, Texas. You will be based at a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams The role involves: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
