Requirements: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Day to day you will read lift plans and method statements before starting; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller.
