Reinforcement steel fixer wanted in Kennebec County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Kennebec County, Maine. Your main tasks: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Six days a week, one day off. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
