Tile roofer — City of Newport News

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tile roofer in City of Newport News, Virginia. You will work on residential new-build sites. The role involves erect and dismantle roof edge protection and scaffolding; torch on bitumen membrane across flat roofs; lay underlayment and tar paper before tiling; hang box gutters and downpipes for rainwater; solder and seam standing-seam metal roof sheets; nail down asphalt shingles in staggered courses. What we are looking for: • Able to read roof pitch and set the falls • Willing to work outdoors in all weather • Working-at-height or scaffold safety certificate Meals and transport allowance provided.
